Now accepting new clients – community-based clinic offers integrated therapy and medication management with a person-first approach

MILWAUKEE – Since opening its doors earlier this year, the STC Wellness Center has made strides to meet Milwaukee’s demand for accessible mental health services. In its first six months, the community-based mental clinic has offered integrated, accessible mental health care – including therapy, psychiatric medication management, and psychological assessments for patients of all ages. The clinic is currently accepting new clients and appointments are available now.

Mental health needs across Wisconsin continue to rise, including in Milwaukee County where nearly 1 in 5 adults report frequent mental distress. For many residents, the challenge isn’t recognizing the need – it’s finding care that is accessible, affordable, and available without a months-long wait. The STC Wellness Center, located at 151 South 84th Street, was designed to cut through those barriers by offering a coordinated, person-centered approach within a single system — reducing the fragmentation that often delays or derails care. With appointments available now, residents no longer have to wait to get started.

“Our vision is a community where judgment-free mental health support is accessible and impactful,” said David Guetzkow, Behavioral Health Director. “We meet people exactly where they are—honoring their stories and their strengths—to help them build the tools and confidence they need to thrive. The response we’ve seen so far has reaffirmed why this work matters.”

Services available at the STC Wellness Center include:

  • Individual & Family Therapy
  • Psychiatric Medication Management
  • Comprehensive Psychological Assessments
  • Group Support & Telehealth Options

The STC Wellness Center is accepting new clients now and welcomes individuals and families seeking care for the first time as well as those transitioning from another provider. The clinic is in-network with Chorus Community Health Plans, Inc., Medicaid, Trilogy, UHC/Optum, and UHC/Optum Community Plan Medicaid, and its list of accepted insurance networks continues to grow. Prospective clients are encouraged to contact the STC Wellness Center directly to confirm current coverage options.
